I had been considering becoming a Driving Instructor for some time, and when the time was right, I looked around for the best way to achieving my goal. I searched the Internet, looked at adverts in newspapers, I thought the only way to becoming an Instructor was to commit and sign up to a National company to complete all of my training needs, having spent large sums of money (£2,950 ) I took my first steps to becoming an ADI.
Whilst the content and material of the training was acceptable, what was disappointing and frustrating was the group approach to my learning and tuition. Often there was as many as 10 to 15 people in classroom training, also during my practical driving tuition my training was always shared with at least one other person (parts 2 and 3). In essence the high throughput of trainees through this company meant that at no point did i receive one to one training and often training dates and times were subject to limited availability which extended my time in taking training/tests.
Having completed my 40 Hours training towards to Part 3 examination I found myself in the fortunate position of meeting the Training Director at Go Driving Tuition.
Following a few informal meetings, Go Driving Tuition gave me the opportunity to undertake the trainee license option, this was the turning point in my efforts to becoming an ADI. Following my decision to complete the extra 20 hours training with one of their Instructor trainers it became obvious that the training received previously had failed to equip me with the skills needed to become a Driving Instructor. Therefore I decided to invest in one to one weekly training with go! at an extremely competitive rate. The benefits of this were the following:
Informal friendly training
Supportive
Good training availability
Undivided attention to my part 3 exam
The skill and expertise to become a better ADI
If I knew then what I know now I would have completed all of my training (Parts 1,2, and 3) at Go Driving Tuition. With the help from them I am now a fully qualified ADI and would strongly recommend Go Driving Tuition to anyone for their training to becoming a professional Driving Instructor

After receiving what I thought was insufficient Part 3 training, I decided
to begin a trainee licence with Go! Driving Tuition. I also completed the
further 20 hours training with the company. The training was on a one to
one basis, which suited me perfectly since I could ask all the questions I
wanted, no matter how silly they sounded, without the risk of embarrassment.
Compared to my initial training I also found it very insightful. It
definately gave me the knowledge and confidence required for the Part 3
test.
